For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, as jp.group companies shall be understood as JP Holding Services S.A. and all companies in Portugal owned by it.
The jp.group recommends reading this Privacy Policy, as well as the Terms and Conditions of use of each of the jp.group companies' websites.
This Privacy Policy has been written in a clear and simple way to facilitate your understanding and to decide freely and voluntarily if you want to provide your personal data and explains what personal information the jp.group companies collect through interactions with you and how these data are used.
 
2. Scope of Application, Responsible for data processing, and Data protection officer
This Privacy Policy applies to the personal data of our users, customers, suppliers, candidates and other stakeholders.
The responsible for collecting and processing your personal data are the jp.group companies that provide you with products and/or services and that in this context decides what data is collected, means of processing and purposes for which the data are used.
The group has appointed a Data Protection Officer or DPO, who monitors the compliance of data processing with the applicable standards and is a point of contact with the user to clarify questions regarding the processing of his data, cooperates with the supervisory authorities and advises the responsible for the processing or the subcontractor on their obligations regarding privacy and data protection.
 
3. Personal data, holders of personal data and categories of personal data
«Personal Data» means information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person («Data Subject»); an identifiable person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that person.

This Policy allows you to know how dp.group companies collect and use your Personal Data, how they can control its use, and describe their practices with respect to information collected on all websites (including but not limited to, software applications, social networks, and electronic messages) of dp.group companies, as well as marketing and offline sales activities (collectively, «Communication Channels»). The Communication Channels can provide links to other non-group platforms. We encourage you to check the privacy policies of these websites, services, social networks, or applications before providing your Personal Data to them, and we are not responsible for the processing of personal data that may be provided and/or collected by them.
We trust that you provide us with accurate and complete information about your personal data and that you update any change regarding the information provided.
 
3.1. When and what information do we collect about you?
We collect your personal data, with your consent, when you register on our website or place an order to purchase products or services. We also collect your personal data when you voluntarily fill in questionnaires, forms or use chat tools.
We ask you not to send or share with jp.group any sensitive personal information such as racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, or trade union membership, as well as genetic data, biometric data, health data or data concerning life or sexual orientation.
Website usage information is collected using cookies, but does not specifically identify you, and the following data is or may be collected:

  • Information about the device that is accessing the website, namely browser type and version, operating system, screen resolution, preferred language, information contained in the HTTP headers, and agent version.

It should be noted that this usage information does not deliberately identify you and if it does, it will be anonymized immediately.

3.2. How do we use the information about you?
The data collected are used to process your order, manage your account and, if you agree, e-mail you information about other products and services.
We use the information collected from the website to personalize your next visits to our website.
If you agree, we will send your personal information to the various jp.group companies so that they can offer you their products and services.
Jp.group companies do not share your information for marketing campaigns with companies not belonging to the group, nor does it transfer your Personal Data to a third country.

You have the right to complain to a National and/or European Union Supervisory Authority in respect of any Personal Data breach. Jp.group will cooperate with the Supervisory Authority, providing all the information requested by it in the exercise of its powers.
Jp.group only accepts registrations from users who are at least 16 years of age. The jp.group Communication Channels are not intended for underage users. If you are aware of a registration made by a minor, please let us know so that we can immediately delete it from the records.
The recipients or categories of recipients of your Personal Data, depending on the contact tool you use, are the departments involved in the business relationship, Marketing, Human Resources departments and other departments of the different jp.group companies.
 
Automated Decisions:
The information collected on jp.group’s websites does not involve automated decision making, including profile definition.
Your data may circulate in an open network and may be seen and used by unauthorized third parties.
No comparisons, interconnections or any other way of interrelating registered information are made on the jp.group's websites.
 
3.4. General conditions for supply
Jp.group's general conditions for supply are available on each of the respective companies’ websites.
3.5. Transmission of Personal Data
Your data can be transmitted to subcontracted companies so that they can process them in the name and on behalf of jp.group companies.
Subcontracted entities, as well as service providers or licensors to jp.group companies, including those based outside the European Union, may have access to data collected and registered by jp.group companies when and to the extent that it proves being necessary to offer to the Customer the products or services marketed by the jp.group companies, or for fulfillment of contract obligations established between the jp.group companies and the Customer.
 
3.6. Recruitment and Selection
By submitting a spontaneous application or application for an opportunity, you authorize that your collected personal data be processed and stored in a computerized manner by jp.group in order to be contacted for opened recruitment and selection processes, or that may arise in the future at jp.group companies.
Your personal data are stored for 2 years after which they are deleted. You must submit a new application after this period if you wish to continue to be included in the jp.group Database.
If you are integrated into a recruitment and selection process, this process will be maintained for 5 years.
The recipients or categories of recipients of your personal data are the Human Resources Department, the Board, and other Managements or positions relevant to the analysis of the application.
Your personal data may also be shared with other entities when required by law or to respond to legal process, and also in situations involving the protection of clients, protection of lives, the security of services, the protection of property rights or jp.group companies.
The recruitment processes do not involve automated decision making, including defining profiles. 
No comparisons, interconnections or any other way of interrelating registered information are made.
The subsequent processing of personal data for a purpose other than that for which the data has been collected requires consent.
Jp.group only accepts applications from people who are at least 16 years old, who have completed compulsory education and have adequate physical and mental abilities for the job.
 
3.6. Ethics
The jp.group code of ethics sets out the values and ethical principles of action of the jp.group and how they must be reflected in our relations with the different interested parties.
To report bad ethical practises you must consent that your collected personal data be processed in order to that reporting and as a of safeguarding the cliffs of calumnious denunciation and discrimination. The absence of consent determines not handling the report and its elimination.

4. Deadlines and Basis for processing and storing personal data
Without prejudice to legal or regulatory provisions to the contrary, the Personal Data shall be preserved/ processed only for the minimum period necessary for the purposes for which they were collected or their subsequent processing.
Any further processing of Personal Data for a purpose other than that for which the data were collected requires consent, prior to such processing jp.group companies request the respective consent and provide the Customer with information about that purpose and any other relevant information.
Jp.group will keep the personal data for the period of time in which the contractual relationship with the data subject is maintained.
There are cases where the law requires the processing and storage of data for a minimum period of time.
In the absence of a specific legal obligation, then the data will be processed/stored only for the period of time necessary for the fulfillment of the purposes for which they were collected and stored, or, whichever is applicable, until you exercise your right to object, right to be forgotten or withdraw your consent and always in accordance with the law, the guidelines and decisions of the supervisory authorities.
It is ensured to the Client, within the legal terms, the right to withdraw his consent at any time, without compromising the lawfulness of the processing performed based on the previously given consent and the right to request the jp.group companies access to the Personal Data relating to him, as well as its rectification or erasure, and the limitation of processing with respect to the Client, or the right to object to the processing, as well as the right to data portability by means of a written communication addressed to jp.group, by clicking *HERE*.
The Personal Data necessary for the execution of the contract to which the Client is a party, for compliance with legal obligations to which the Responsible for data Processing is subject and those that are necessary for the purpose of the legitimate interests pursued by the jp.group companies are not included in the previous paragraph.
Once the storage/processing period has elapsed, jp.group will delete or, if it is in the interest of jp.group companies, anonymize the data (in such a way that the Client is not or can no longer be identified) whenever they may not be kept for different purposes that may subsist.
 
4.1. Grounds for Processing of Personal Data
Consent: when having the prior and express consent of the data subject – in writing, orally or through the validation of an option - and if this consent is free, informed, specific and unequivocal.

In the case of processing personal data from minors, which may be subject to prior consent, it must be provided by the holders of parental responsibilities.
Execution of contract: where the processing of personal data is necessary for the execution, performance, and management of the contract entered into with any of the jp.group companies.
Compliance with legal obligation: when the processing of personal data is required to comply with a legal obligation to which jp.group shall be subject.
Legitimate Interest: when the processing of personal data corresponds to a legitimate interest of jp.group or third parties.

If the requests submitted by the User are manifestly unfounded or excessive, in particular because of their repetitive character, under the existing legal framework, jp.group may require the payment of a reasonable fee taking into account the administrative costs for providing the information or the communication, or to take the requested measures, or refuse to comply with the request.
 
7. Security
Jp.group has implemented the appropriate logical, physical, organizational and security measures, necessary and sufficient to protect your personal data during its transmission and in the period of storage and processing, against destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized access, or any other form of accidental or unlawful processing, including but not limited to, the use of secure servers, firewalls, application and communications data encryption.
Jp.group has an information computer system with the ability to withstand, at a given level of confidence, accidental events or unlawful or malicious actions that compromise the availability, authenticity, integrity and confidentiality of stored or transmitted Personal Data, as well as the security of the related services offered by, or accessible via, those networks and systems.
